I am Aharon Yaakov Lieberman. I created this website to be an online companion to my Kuntres Shmoi Shel Moshiach.
The Kuntres was compiled as the result of several years of research into the topic of Moshiach. Specifically delving into what our Sages discussed about the topic of Moshiach coming from the maisim.
The Kuntres presents an in-depth analysis, and explanation into the Gemara, Yerushalmi, Medrash, Rishonim and Acharonim that discuss this topic.
As can be seen from the kuntres, Moshiach from the maisim appears to have been a common belief during the times of the Gemara. And was not ruled out by Rambam l’Halacha.
According to Chazal anyone from the living or maisim could be Moshiach for as long as they are considered fit to be Moshiach. As explained at length in the Kuntres.
